Work on Paper (2020)

Works on Paper is a video documenting the process of installing, covering up, and deinstalling of the show of the same name.. The video, like the show, layers images up to the point of obscurity at first, then veils them with tasteful simplicity, and finally concludes with a complete tearing down of the show, which all happens over the course of two weeks in the exhibition space. This project was concerned with the then recent, and contested, rise of historical amnesia and the selective covering up of history and art in the public sphere in mainstream Turkish politics.
