“Entrance”, Solo exhibition, Barın Han, Istanbul, TR, December 18, 2025 – February 1, 2026
The exhibition positions itself as a beginning crystallized by a specific encounter between the different layers of the artist’s practice, which includes painting, music, performance, and writing. Within this context, the exhibition presents the first outing of the artist’s intellectual and aesthetic universe.
The paintings in the exhibition synthesize visual and conceptual references borrowed from popular culture, mythology, Hellenistic iconography, and cultures of antiquity. In lieu of fixed narratives, the paintings propose a multiplicity constantly reshaped by the viewer’s perspective. Likewise, the figures in the paintings, instead of being one-to-one representations, present themselves as “personas” attributed to different times, identities, and structures of feeling.
The video works on the second floor of the exhibition focus on performative actions centered around the passing of time, repetition, and endurance. Each video explores the temporal and psychological dimensions of the body through the repetition of a single action over a considerable period of time. These actions are not framed as either theatrical performances or documentations but as the embodied equivalents of an intellectual process.
